We continue the cooperation we have started under the slogan “move to change”! On 22 June 2025 as part of the East of Culture at the European Stadium of Culture, we invite you to a debate, we will talk about the Rzeszów ECoC effect and the mobility of artists. Detailed program coming soon!
We are sharing with you our application – Bidbook “Moving Map”, which we presented in Warsaw on October 26, 2023 during the pre-selection of the competition for the title of European Capital of Culture 2029. 12 cities decided to take part in the recruitment for the European Capital of Culture 2029: Bielsko-Biała, Bydgoszcz, Jastrzębie-Zdrój, Katowice, Kielce, Kołobrzeg, Lublin, Opole, Płock, Pszczyna, Rzeszów and Toruń. The expert panel selected four cities that advanced to the next stage of the competition: Katowice, Lublin, Bielsko-Biała and Kołobrzeg.
The motto of our application was “moving map”. The cultural program of Rzeszów as the European Capital of Culture 2029 was related to threads corresponding to the concept of four types of symbolic “movements” in the spheres of attitudes and values. All of them directly affect the Rzeszów community and the city space, justifying the metaphor of the “moved map”.
